Track
- – Planning for the track began in the summer of 2019, while the ground-breaking process started in April 2021
- – During the design process, 45 different iterations were drawn until this 5.41km version was decided
- – For 2023, the entire track has been resurfaced
- – There are 11 pedestrian bridge spans — the most of any F1 circuit — to enable ease of access around the Campus. For 2023, in order to improve the flow of foot traffic across the Campus, the width of several pedestrian bridges has been doubled and one new bridge has been added
- – The 19-turn track features three straights — the longest being 1.28km in length — three DRS zones and a top speed of 214.7mph

All-New Paddock Club
- – Total capacity: 6,271 people
- – Total length of the building: 996 ft
- – Total feet of balcony viewing: 2,640 ft
- – Features eight bridges connecting the Paddock Club to the stadium which reduces the number of internal stairs allowing for larger kitchens and back of house
- – On average a 250-strong workforce was on site each day for the build 800 sq. ft of marble used in the structure
- – Three kitchens per floor totaling six kitchens and 10 serveries providing a total of 16,000 sq. ft of kitchen and servery/food preparation areas within the building. Do & Co were involved in the design so the kitchens have been built to best cater to their needs
- – The aluminum feature wall on the east is the first use of continuous aluminum extrusion at 75 ft
- – The Paddock Club was designed and built in 7 months, a process which would normally take 18 – 24 months
Team Village
- – New-for-23 is the Team Village, where the ten teams, the FIA, F1 and Pirelli will base their hospitality units on the field of Hard Rock Stadium
- – For the first time fans will have an exclusive insight into the behind-the-scenes working of a Formula 1 paddock as spectators who purchase General Admission Campus Pass tickets will be able to access the 300 level of Hard Rock Stadium and look directly into the Team Village from above
- – It took 12 days (working 24 hours a day) to remove the Miami Open Tennis court – something that usually takes 40 in preparation for the 13 hospitality structures to be constructed on the football field
Fan Experience

Campus: Key Areas
Some key areas include; the MIA Marina, Promenade, Casa Tua Trackside Club, Paddock Club and the Hard Rock Beach Club that will feature DJs across the weekend. Plus, there are cable-car glass floored gondolas – the Heineken Highline – that crosses the track
- MIA Marina
- – The construction of a dry-dock Marina-located on the inside of Turns 6, 7 & 8–was one of the most ambitious projects of 2022 and the creation of this new facility bought a new level of fan experience to the race
- – For 2023,the Marina area has been enhanced to include Sunset Cabanas positioned alongside water features
- – Alongside the new cabanas will sit five yachts that will sit on 25,000 sq feet of ‘water ’made from a special vinyl material to make it look and feel as if they are floating, with a waves and ripple design that will go around each vessel
- – The area also welcomes The Boathouse, a new hospitality structure featuring panoramic viewing around Turns 4 and 5
- Hard Rock Beach Club
- – This is whereSouthBeachmeetsFormula1.Thisexclusivelocationcombinestheexcitementofworld class racing with the hottest beach club in Miami, including two resort-style pools, famous DJs, multiple bar locations, and a full range of a la carte chef inspired plates. The Beach House Cabanas, located inside the Hard Rock Beach Club offers fully shaded cabana style seating
- – This area of the track was inspired by the Foro Sol stadium section at the Mexico City circuit
- – The Hard Rock Beach Club areas includes two water features, 43 Cabanas (26 upper level, 17 lower) and the whole area can hold 1,600 guests with an amazing view of the track with three 35ft screens
Entertainment
- – iHeart Radio DJs will get Friday’s soundtrack at Hard Rock Beach Club underway
- – Jonas Brothers and Wisin y Yandel will entertain fans at the Hard Rock Beach Club throughout Saturday
- – Tiësto & Cedric Gervais will perform at the Hard Rock Beach Club on race day

- – The Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix App was designed with all visitors to the race in mind and as well as tickets, includes information on parking, the schedule, latest news, an interactive 3D campus map and FAQs about the event as a whole
- – J.P. Morgan Payments is aiming to pilot biometrics-based payments including palm and face identification for at the race – the first F1 event to utilize this technology
- – 634 TVs across Campus, including 10 large LED screens, two of which measure 35 inches and are situated on the Paddock Club roof
- – Race control video wall is the only 0.9 pixel pitch video wall outside of China
- – More than 91 million meters of cabling (fiber and copper) utilized across the Campus
Community
- – The inaugural race gave a boost of $350 million to the local economy, both in Miami Gardens and the wider South Florida and Greater Miami region
- – The goal of the circuit’s community initiatives are to inspire youth, provide opportunities for college students and invest in local business
- – F1 in Schools: expanded for 2023 to include 30 students, this intentional investment in the community will inspire and promote careers in innovation, science, and technology
- – Internship Program: Enhanced for 2023 through the launch of MIA Academy which provides a comprehensive learning experience including weekly virtual enrichment classes prior to the start of a paid 12-week in-person internship which started in February 2023 for 23 students from the local areas. Sustainability
- – In partnership with Formula 1, the goal of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix is to have a net zero carbon footprint by 2030
- – In 2019 Hard Rock Stadium (HRS) became the second venue in the NFL to make a wholesale move away from plastic for front-of-house operations including fan-facing consumables. The venue has continued to eliminate in the 90% range for single-use plastic and is working towards a 100% elimination for the 2025 race
- – The MIA Campus actively participates in waste diversion from landfill and reusing it to energize homes and business in the local communities. By 2025 the MIA Campus will have 100% waste diversion and composting of food waste. In 2022, MIA, in conjunction with HRS, diverted and energized 86% (4.3K tons) of its waste
- – Prior to the last year’s race, the circuit planted over 2,000 trees, 1.5 million plants, and close to 3 million sq ft of natural grass to the MIA Campus to enhance the local biodiversity and tree cover around the circuit
- – South Florida Motorsports are performing Air Quality and Noise Sampling in multiple zones of the MIA Campus. The 2022 results showed it was below the EPA’s industry standards for polluted air and OSHA’s industry standard for noise outside of the track and its effects on fans, vendors, and employees as well as the local community
- – Additionally, in 2020 Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) announced Hard Rock Stadium’s commitment to become the first public facility to receive GBAC STAR accreditation which it continues to hold through this year’s race
Miami Dolphins/NFL
- – The oldest major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida
- – The only team in NFL history to have a perfect season as they went 17-0 in 1972
- – The Dolphins are one of just four NFL franchises to have winning records in every season since 2020
- – The football field at Hard Rock Stadium is equipped with Bermuda 419 grass, which goes through a six-month enhancement process of being harvested and installed on plastic to thicken the sod and toughen the turf to meet the standards of the NFL
- – The Miami Dolphins train at the newly-completed Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens unveiled on July 20, 2021.
